I love that moment when little girls, or boys, bring out the dress-up clothes, choose their outfit with a decisiveness and precision that us adults never can muster, and stand in all their glory, ready for display. In that moment, their eyes are alit, and they may run to a mirror to enjoy the grand finale, or simply parade around for effect.
And you can almost see their minds projection of their loveliness, even if, perhaps, in reality, they look more like Courtney Love in a more bedraggled period.
In celebration of bedraggled (oh, now wait, that's just me), here are some recent pics. Are you impressed with the timeliness? The two of the Bean (the latter being kind of a sixties album cover expertly taken by Rich) were just taken yesterday at Trenton, NJ's Grounds for Sculpture.
