Grateful

Someone met Lena today for the first time. Then she suddenly and uncannily gave the keenest take on her personality in 30 words or less:

"She very verbal for her age, and charming. I thought she was older. But is not too keen to take 'no' for an answer."

I also appreciate that the Bean last night objected to the no-parents-rule at her classroom holiday party. Indeed, I also wonder why we are not invited; it makes me long for a more free-form educational option. Still, it made me happy that, after a week and a half of being snowed-in and sicked-in and attituded-in with one another, she still wants me at her school holiday party. I guess five years-old is not so big, after all.
