And now the Lump is creating her own standardized illustration of "Dee-da" (Santa) on page after page of scrap paper. She has settled on a circle with a bit of thick, vertical lines at either the top or the bottom of the circle (image to follow). She even holds the pen properly, which I didn't think was too shabby for 18 months.

She approaches the task as if, to paraphrase Montessori, it were her work.
