Parental Aside #Whatever: Pinning Down the Modern Hipster Parent

The best comment I saw regarding this article: in trying to combine attachment parenting with the attempt to keep our "hip" kids visible, we have erased the very sense of divide between the adult social scene and the kiddie social scene: the kids come to concert, parties, etc.

Is this good for kids? Good for us? Bad for both? Could it be that we are both trying to keep our old selves and failing at it?

I'm in here, of course, and so is my ex-dot-com, marketing entrepreneur husband, for whom we need to go this week and refresh his career wardrobe at some denim shop. (At least we are mass market.)
